Gail Wolz, Registrar

Gail Wolz is a Board member of Bellevue East Lacrosse and the proud mother of Sophie, who is a player on the varsity team.  She wears a number of hats in this club, including Secretary, Registrar, time/score-keeper, and cheerleader.  She reports that she currently operates a BELAX spirit-boa “sweat shop” in her family room, much to the chagrin of her daughter.

Gail enthusiastically describes lacrosse as “the fastest game on two feet!”  She loves that it has such great transferability of skills from other sports.  What she appreciates most about BELAX is that it is so inclusive and encourages newcomers, even those girls with little to no past experience.  Gail says that participating with this club has been “life-changing for our daughter and family.”

Gail is a busy volunteer in our community.  She regularly visits people in the hospital or skilled nursing facilities, as “the laughter lady”, doing humor therapy.  What lights her up about this work is seeing a smile or hearing laughter from someone who is terribly sick or discouraged.  Gail says, “a joyful heart truly is good medicine.”  She also volunteers at her church, serving as an anointing prayer minister; Gail finds this service very rewarding, seeing God at work in people’s lives.
